Introduction to Scentwork – 14th February

We are holding an introduction to scentwork at Walcote Memorial Hall on 14th February.

This is intended  for people with little or no experience of scentwork.

Scentwork is a form of dog training that is often very rewarding for dogs.  With ScentworkUK you and your dog can progress through different levels.

We will learn the basics of scentwork, we will teach your dog to use his nose and then look for a specific scent.

This is excellent mental stimulation for most dogs and results in a calm, tired dog.  So why not give it a go?

The training class starts at 7.00pm,

We also run regualar scent classes on a Tuesday at Cotesbach or a Thursday at Peatling Parva.

We also run dog training classes near Lutterworth and puppy class.

Date for the next Dog and Puppy Training Classes

We are already taking enrolments for our next session of dog training and puppy training classes which begin in February.

Our training classes are convenient for the Lutterworth/Rugby/Countesthorpe areas.

Dates for the next classes are:

  • Cotesbach (Tuesday evenings)  27th February
  • Walcote (Friday evenings)  23rd February
  • Peatling Parva (Thursdays once a fortnight)  March 22nd

All of our classes are small so each dog or puppy has individual attention.  Qualified APDT instructor.

We aim to make our classes a bit different from many other training classes.

Our puppy training is aimed at problem prevention.  Many of the problems seen in adult dogs start as a puppy.  We aim to give owners the skills to prevent these from developing.

Because our classes are small they do fill up quickly.

We are now taking bookings for January Classes

Although it still seems a long time away we are now taking bookings for January classes.

We run classes near Lutterworth for both puppies and adult dogs.

Classes work towards the APDT Good Companion Awards.

All classes are small, we try to limit numbers to a maximum of 5 puppies or dogs.  This provides the best environment to help your puppy to learn.

Bertoe at puppy training

We still have places left in the puppy classes  but the beginner classes are almost fully booked.

Our puppy classes start at 5.15 at Walcote and 5.30pm at Cotesbach

We may also have a few spaces in the Tuesday Scentwork classes for the new year.
