Puppy Training

Puppy training lays the foundations for a well behaved social adult dog. It also introduces owners to basic puppy care and training.

Puppy classes are an ideal way to introduce your puppy to basic obedience and socialisation.  At Paws in Progress we aim to make our puppy classes fun for both dogs and owners.

All classes are small, with a maximum of 4 or 5 puppies per class.

This means that each puppy gets individual attention and are not overwhelmed by the class.  It also allows us to have some time for puppy play at the end of the class.

Our puppy classes are held at Walcote Memorial Hall just outside Lutterworth. Classes are small so spaces are limited.

Early training can help to prevent problems later on – it is never too early to start training your puppy.  A home puppy visit can be useful if you would like to start training before your puppy has had their final vaccinations or if you are not able to get to training classes.

Each 2 hour home visit costs £50 and covers toilet training, play, chewing and basic commands such as sit, recall.

If you want to be sure that your puppy has the best start in life then book a home visit.  These visits are intended for owners who want to be sure that they start of on the right foot from the beginning with their puppy.

Training can begin before the puppy’s vaccinations are completed.  Prevention is always better than cure, find out how to train your puppy right from the start.

There is also e-mail support for a month to cover any additional topics or clarify anything you may not be sure about.

Puppy training should be fun so all techniques involve reward based methods only.

Follow up sessions are available if required.
